Thousands of years back, there was a farmer in a hilly village. The farmer could not ever grow good crop as the stream flowing adjacent to his field was diverted away by a hillock.

One fine day, the farmer decided to reduce the hillock so that it does not create any more hurdle. The villagers laughed at him and commented that the effort was pointless as the task could not be completed by generations. However the farmer continued with dogged determination.

After a few years, the farmer died. But the son continued, carried on with the dreams of his father. Work progressed but slowly ,as the task was phenomenal. In course of time, the task was taken on by the grandson and great grandson.

Efforts of generations went in. The hillock was reduced. The stream started flowing ceaselessly towards the desired direction. Crop yield was better every year. Trees grew taller.

THIS IS A STORY OF A VISIONARY WHO COULD FORESEE. One hundred and fifty years back the personalities, who took on the great responsibilities of laying the first stone and started the initiative of MALDA ZILLA SCHOOL and those who continued are visionaries. The school is in present shape because of them. MALDA ZILLA SCHOOL has produced countless luminaries, who make us proud.
